Maint Reqd light not turning off...

I have an 05 Tacoma. Has any had problems with the maint reqd light not turning off after getting an oil change? My understanding from the manual was this light was only to remind me to change the oil. It started blinking on startup at about 4K miles, I have since changed the oil, and once I hit 5K the light is fixed on. Any insight? Do I really have to go to the dealer to turn off a light that reminds me to change my oil? Come on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Corbett.

you have to manually reset the reminder yourself, it's in the manual....
something about pressing and holding the odometer reset button while turning the key. read the book....

Okay well first of all the maintence lights are set up by milage so thats why they come on even if you did an oil change. But how you reset it is that you have to hold in the trip indicator button while the key is on the on position not running and you will see 5 lines that look like blanks count down you hold in the button until they go away and then you turn you key off to confim the comand and then you are good to go. I hope that helped
