Low Range Question.

Hey everyone my name is John. Im in Visalia, Ca. I have a 94 4Runner 3VZE auto. my 4Low wont engage unless I turn off my 4runner and start it again. it will remain in 4 high with the the shifter in 4low until I shut the vehicle off. then I can can the transf. drop into low range. Is there some kinda of safety feature I dont know about??

usually, you just have to be in neutral with the vehicle not moving to drop it into 4lo.

thats what I thought. but it doesn't. Idk lol I'll try adjusting the linkage. that or put full synthetic 75w-90 in it to let it move a little easier.

i'd go with amsoil...

my brother was having problems with the trac lock his crownvic awhile back, he was getting very bad grinding during driving and terrible ratcheting in turns, and after a few days running amsoil its been fine ever since, and that was a good 4 years ago and its still fine.
