1st off, Welcome to YT! Lots of great Info here! 2nd, what kind of lights/install are you thinking about (Rooftop, back-ups, front mounted, pretty little neons, etc)???

I believe there are a ton of threads dealing with installing lights. There is even some information posted in the tech write-ups section. Here's a link to that:
https://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech/techpage2.htm

Now that I've given you a good place to start from let me be the first to say Using the search function helps you find the great info that is posted here!

hey thanks! i love the forum although alot to learn its already answered a ton of questions. i jus felt i needed more lights for going over mountain passes and i like installing things on my own rather than spending more money. thanks again!

lots of us run the Hella 500s. Found mine on Amazon for 43.80 and no shipping cost.

About $70 at the auto parts stores.

The Pro Comps from 4WD Parts work just fine also.

Look at numbers 1, 3 and 5 on this page, these are cheap, they come with 100 watt bulbs and trust me they're bright, I've had them over a year and they still work.

They're my favorites because of the price, they're stainless, have a glass lense so they won't get frosty like all the hella's and come with a 100 watt. Oh and they look almost identical to KC's Daylighters which cost about 8 times more.

Maybe not yours but all the ones I see. Oh and mine are just as bright as yours but were a third the price.

All four of my hella 500's use a glass lense with a ABS plastic housing. Never gets frosty or foggy...

Best lights for the money. All the metal housing lights I have seen eventually rust and look but ugly.

ha alot of good ideas. what is the diameter of the hellas? because i looked at them and for some reason i thought they would looks kind of big on my roof. i jus was thinking 4 smaller summit ones would give a better look but i could put 500s on my bumper
