Lift?

Hey guys, i recently bought a 94 4runner v6 4x4. I eventually plan on doing a suspension lift when i get the money but for now I want to do a body lift. What things would i need to change to install a 3" body lift compared to a 2" lift. Im planning on getting a transfer case crossmember from budbuilt with a drivetrain lift to match the body lift so i dont have to worry about the shifter, but what else would i need to replace to do a body lift (either 2 or 3") Which lift would be easier and look better?. Thanks

Between the body lift and the new x member, you might as well fork up the extra few bucks for a suspension lift.. But if you do a 3" body lift, everything should come with the kit that ya need.. Shifter extenderes( pieces of metal rod) might not need to be put in, both of my rigs have 3" body lifts and neither of them needed the shifters extended.. Hell in the tacoma the radiator didn't even need to be dropped.. But i would just save up a bit for the suspension lift, you might be able to find one used for pretty cheap?

The thing about a body lift for me is that its a automatic, so i cant find a kit for it ive seen the adapter for it but id rather just get the crossmember and lift the transfer case for more clearance. since im doing that will a body lift kit for a manual transmission work?. also when i do the suspension lift i want to do a solid axle swap. could someone tell me what is reguired for a solid axle, and what i can get one out of? thanks for any help

There is a ton of info out there for a solid axle swap, definately gonna need to do some reasearch on that one.. In a sense, doing a solid axle swap is a "suspension lift" in its own.. Don't go buying a drop down kit for a independent rig if ya plan on SAS'n it.. I would start piecing parts together for that, you get get kits from marlin, all pro, trail gear, etc.. But track down a toy axle out of a 85 and under toy.. just skip the body lift if ya wanna go that route..
