Hello,

I just purchased a 1979 4x4 pickup that has the L43 transmission with the side shifter rather than a top mount shifter.

The shop I took it to says the shifter and attachment needs to be replaced. Not the shifter assembly.

We can't seem to find the parts. What should I do? I see an option to replace the whole transmission and shifter with an L50 and top mount, but that's obviously a lot more money than fixing the stock L43 shifter.
