Ripping into the wiring harness on my '85 22re. I'm trying to understand why all four injectors are firing at the same time. One wire comes off each injector toward the computer. Two wires come out of the computer toward the injectors. All of them tie together in the wiring harness.... ???? The schematic I'm looking at also shows all four injectors wired together. What's up with that?

 

Thats how our fuel injection works, all of the injectors fire at the same time, thats normal operation. I can`t remember what its called, i think its sequential fuel injection, but im not sure if thats right.

 

false. Sequential is individual injectors firing. All 4, like on our trucks is called bank fire

I wouldn't say that. I'd would rather say "So that's how they keep these injectors going for 20 years plus."
