Inclinometer compatibility?

Sorry if this is a duplicate questions, I searched around but didn't find an answer to my question. Can you install a inclinometer from a 1st gen 4Runner in a 1st gen (1983) pickup? I know you could install it, but does it require anything other than a plugin for the lights to work?

Thanks!

Absolutely you can install the inclinometer... some 1gen trucks [83 and earlier] had them from the factory in non-NA markets... all you'd need is to connect the lights and there may even be a harness plug there for it already... if you check the bottom side of the dash pad there may be little crosses marking the pts. to drill out for inclinometer base but measure them first if they are there because there may be a difference in the bolt pattern.
The harness if it is there will be in about the same location as it was on the donor vehicle... ie. middle of the dash above the heater controls possibly secured to the cabin crossmember brace.
