Identifying ECM (and engine) model year

Identifying ECM (and engine) model year
Hi guys, my name is Ian. I have a '92 MR2 that I'm swapping a 5vz-fe into. I'm at the point of wiring everything up, but the problem is that I don't know which year my engine and ECM are 
I downloaded all the 5vz wiring diagrams, and it seems to be either a 95,96 or 97. Unfortunately the sticker on top of the ECM is worn away, but here are some pics. Also, is there a marking on the engine block that I can identify the year from? I noticed a marking on the right hand side that reads [1 09] Does that denote the year?
