i think i need a new starter

i think i need a new starter

alrite so my truck wont start anymore and the battery has full charge and teh starter solenoid doesnt make a click noise when i tunr the key so do i need a new starter cuz that would suck kuz the starter is only 6 months old.

what type of truck do you have ? how are the battery cables ?

Clean all the connections, while your checking your batt. cables.

Do this test first:

Might not be the starter, but find out for sure.

i agree, check those contacts first. and just a word to the wise, if you *think* you remember how to take it apart when youre out in your garage, go double check the writeup. you might be taking apart the motor (i sure did, lol) and then spend 30 tedious minutes with a friend putting it back together.
