How high is to high?
hey guys just picked me up a new truck 92 sr5, 3.0, blown headgaskets but in good shape bone stock and wanting to lift it, will adventually do a sas but for now im thinking the 1.5 bj spacers and running ome torsion bars, and low profile bump stops hoping to get roughly 3inch lift on the front and run the 63inch chevy on the rear and maybe a 1inch body lift but as for the front how high can you go before you run into cv angle troubles? like binding or other issues? or will that be alright and im trying to avoid a body lift as my last truck had one and i didnt care for it at all thanks ahead of time

not much..it would be best to just find a 4" bracket lift dude..then ya aint gotta deal with body lifts and cv angles and such..lol..and do the 63" chevy swap for the rear.should get close to 4" of lift out em

about 1.5" BJ spacers would be my limit for CV angles, depending on wheel size and lockers. Large wheels and lockers can do more harm than steep CV angles.
also, a 1" BL shouldnt be too noticable and does some good.
the main question is what size tires do you want to run, and where do you want to take the rig. My personal opinion is only lift as much as you have to, to fit the tires you want. Take my currently wheelin rig. I'm running 35" tires (31"s stock) with only 1" of lift and no clearance issues. My previous rig ran 37" tiires (28" stock) with only 4" of lift.
