how hard is a 90 to 93 swap?
I have a totalled 90' 4runner 3vze, the engine is the only good thing on it. I also have a 93' 4runner 3vze, and the engine is the only bad thing on it. Does the engine just straight swap? Or is there going to be parts cost involved? If so how much?
Thanks

Yes, should swap straight over. I have noticed when using older parts on mine that sometimes the electrical plugs are not the same, but the wire colors are identical, so you just need to splice in the correct plug.
While you have the engine out is a good time to do a clutch, belts, hoses, seals, etc if you think it might need them. Also, take the time and clean up the engine really well - much easier when the diff and everything aren't in the way.

you will have to swap over some parts from the 93 to the 90
distributor and wires
alternator
injectors
the bunch of sensors at the rear top of the engine .(complete aluminum housing 2x 12mm bolts)
all pretty easy stuff to swap..
