Hi-Lift mounting

Hey guys, I just got a 48'' Hi-Lift, 2 shackles, and a tow strap for my birthday yesterday. My question is where is everyone mounting their Hi-Lift at? I have a 88 std cab pickup and want to mount it out of the way but still easy to get to. I still use my bed so I don't want to mount it on the bed floor or anything, I was thinking maybe on the side of the bed on the wheel well or something. Let me get your ideas and pics.

I made some brackets out of sheet metal and welded them to the fender int he bed. I also keep an old tent bag over the jack part to keep the weather out.

Here check this thready out.

My 60" hilift fits in my in bed toolbox.

Could bolt yours to your tailgate.. or the bedrails are a popular place.

Well you know any thing is possible , that said it is about 3 ft. up so it has to be a mighty big rock not that they don't exist and I have not run in to them but I have not had any issues so far knock on wood

they are drilled to accomidate a lock in each mount too. maybe look into to a set you can mount them anywhere. each mount uses four bolt holes.

So I temporarily mounted the jack up against the cab on the bed, just until I get around to building something to hold it.

you should check out wheelers off-road in grants pass Oregon. they have bumper mounts for hi-lifts and just about everything else you would need.
