Help! 3vze stumbling, low power CODE71

Hi guys, 1994 Toyota pickup 3.0 with 160K miles 4X4. My truck idles great around 1K rpm cold, but when it reaches operating temperature (180 degrees) the idle drops from 1000 to anywhere from 250-500rpm. To try to fix this problem I replaced the timing belt water pump all accessory belts, and all new spark plugs and wires. The truck is driving better now after the tuneup but still seems to have little power (yes, I know it’s a 3.0). After the spark plug job driving home I got a check engine light (maybe this is the answer I was looking for) code 71 EGR malfunction. I have heard that this is sometimes an electrical problem, all of my lights work except my front running lights. Any suggestions on where to go from here? Thank you.
