Hard to find 3vze parts

Long time lurker in need of some help and direction.

After some soul searching where I actually considered selling my 88 4Runner 3.0 I decided to keep her, fix her up, and wheel her like no tomorrow.

My 3.0 is leaking oil like crazy and needs to be freshened up and rebuilt. For downtime purposes and general joy I thought that picking up another 3.0 engine and rebuilding it to swap in would be the best choice. Then later rebuilding the current engine for a "just in case".

I have found a 3.0 out of a 91 pickup but the only problem is someone has already grabbed the valve covers, cams, along with the cam sprockets and bands that hold the cam shaft down (cam bearing guides)? Don't have my service manual infront of me so part names are kind of blurring. Plus lack of sleep doesn't help. Can find valve covers a good bit on eBay and the like, but would love some new ones. The cam sprockets though and other parts seem to be a different story entirely.

Is there an online supplier or online OEM ordering store where I can find the missing parts? Or am I stuck going to a stealership? I can pickup everything from the intake manifold down to the oil pan for around $150, minus the missing parts. Turning that deal down is a little hard.

I'm sticking with the 3.0 right now for the ease of swapping in a rebuilt engine. Maybe one day I will get adventurous and go 3.4 or 302.
