Got my New toyota

Well its not new its a 86 sittin on 35" swampers with about 20% tread left , um about a 5 in lift i thing with rancho springs in rear , thats about all i know about it so far...picked it up in grass valley California for $2000. pictures will come when i figure out how to post em . Also i need to take the Valve Cover off to replace the plug thing , do i need to take off the oil pan?

what "plug thing" are you talking about? what motor?

um, its a 22r the plug im talking about is where the valve cover meets the block its like a little half moon rubber plug.

Your killing me smalls... The valve cover sits on the head not the block and why would you need to remove the oil pan to take off the valve cover to replace the "plug thing" One is on top of the engine the other is on the bottom. Translation anyone?

I'm pretty sure I remember there was 2 of those rubber 1/2 moon "plug" things - 1 in the front and 1 in the back. I would replace both of them when you do the valve cover (but I think they come with the valve cover gasket anyways) and use some silicone to seal them. I have no idea what you are asking about the oil pan either, but it doesn't have anything to do with this.

nvm my dad was telling me about the oil pan idk what hes talkin about but yea i got it i was talkin about , but i got everything fixed and it runs great , ill get some pics in a few hours .
