gen 1 doubler transfer case
i have an 87/88 4runner sitting in my back yard and it has the 22re with manual transmission and trailgear doubler transfercase. i was wondering if i could mount the double gear driven t-case on my gen 3 4runner with the 3rz with a manual transmission?

take a look at the output location on the TC, it is on the right side...your current one is on the left for the front pumpkin.
you will need a lefty from Marlin Crawler or Inchworm Rock Walking gear...

Actually it may be possible to use just the actual reduction box on your newer 4Runner. You'll just need different adapters then what's on that case now. Input splines and such may also be different then what's on your new truck..
You won't be able to use the older IFS diff.. Forget about that..

ya i just found out that with the 3rv the exhaust comes out where the older t-case dumps down so it would interfere with that anyway.
i really need to just buy an older 4runner or pickup!!!
