Gears?

Ummm, well it really depends. I can tell your a newb and probably didnt search for the 57805 threads that cover this. So here goes. 1: Depends on what SIZE tire you'd like to run for what size gearing you should get. 2: Theres 4.88's 5.29's 5.71's...thats about as low as you can go.

When you go with bigger tires you have to regear, so say you go with 37'' tires and leave the stock 4.10`s in your truck, the stock ratio will make your truck have to work harder just to get moving and if your wheeling it probably wont have the power needed to crawl over anything big. im running 4.88 gears and 37'' tires on my 86 4Runner and i also have duel cases, and that also helps alot.

but I call shenanigans on you, cause you have dual cases, therefore you could probably run stock gears with those tires, lol. but don't get me wrong, every gearing advantage helps when you have the 22re

man dont go with 5.29s if ur runnin on the road alot everyone tells u thats what u should get bc thats the most popular gear...most likely ur truck has 4.11 gears in it and they will be slow with bigger tires trust me i know...if u want an all around good gear put 4.88s in there. they will pull 35s and under good on and off road and u wont be putting around with large gears as much such as the 5.29 and bigger
