Gas tank issues

Hey guys. I'm trying to replace the tank on my 94 pickup. Shortbox, 22re, regular cab. I have the old tank out (huge hole on the side) and the new one (from the junk yard) ready to go in.

The tanks are a different sizes, I think one "new" one is from a 4runner or a gen2 pickup. The part where the fuel pump sending unit thing fits is not as tall.

My question is, anyone know what the smaller tank is from? And could I just swap the the pump thing from that vehicle?

My other thought was to say screw it and buy a fuel cell, anyone have one they want to sell?

It has been awhile and I have seen the different sizes of fuel pump holders. Just dont remember what it is to.

But the 4Runner and truck tanks are different. If I recall right, the fuel fill pipe is in different locations between a runner and a truck tank.

This must be from a 4runner then. The filler neck doesn't line up with the hole in the box at all. I'm going to flatbed it anyway come summer so that's no biggie.

Can I just get a 4runner fuel pump sending unit thing and swap it in?

Thanks for the help!

Hey guys, I just posted in the part out section for a fuel/pump sending unit from 4runner.

If I have the smaller tank from a 4runner, and get a smaller fuel pump thing that fits in the tank there shouldn't be any problems running that right? I have a flatbed for a box so the filler neck not lining up is no biggie.
