gas leak on 93 toyota

Hey I need some help with the gas leak I've got on a 93 toyota 4runner v6 3.0 . So its up by my intake , whats funny about this gas leak is that it doesn't leak all the time nor does the smell of gas unless its leaking. I had to remark my timing . I've finished that job successfully. I do know that the ICV and the idle speed adjust. and there's another part that was messed with in the same area there all near the throttle body So I don't understand why I can drive for 5 minutes no smell no gas leaks .I park and turn off my truck then I go back to test driving after and hour or so I go to turning it back on and i smell gas and its leaking gas. I cant see looking down behind the intake I just know thats where its coming from . Could it be pressure built up from my EGR value?

Make sure you didn't somehow swap the rubber lines that come from the fuel tank to the engine. Not the pressure line with the banjo bolts, but the other two small rubber ones with clamps. One is the return to the tank from the fuel pressure regulator, and the other is the vent line going to the top of the charcoal canister. If you swap them, fuel will leak very badly from the charcoal canister....
Ask me how I know!
