ok, I just got an 88 4runner dlx a few weeks ago and finally had time to start some stuff that i wanted to do. I already have an sr5 same year but with the 3.0 instead of the 22re. I will be selling the sr5 soon, i have always like the 22re way better, but I wanted to take some of the sr5 things and put them in the dlx. I got a sr5 gauge cluster and swapped it in place of the one that had Km instead of mph...truck is originally from canada! while the cluster was out, I put some amber colored bulbs in it...one problem i see now is that oil pressure always goes way up! i swapped in the digital clock, cigarette lighter with the lighted ring around it, a new radio, and a few other small things, vents that aren't broken...etc. i tried to find an amber bulb for the hvac controls, but couldn't...so i guess that one will stay green. I think I may have ruined my dash pad...the passenger side part...trying to remove it without checking on here first. gonna try to put it back, but not sure...So far the only things that I have had trouble locating are the wiring for the cigarette lighter light and the small harness for the light that goes inside the door on the sr5. WIsh i had taken some pictures...i will after i figure out how to wire the door lights. Any suggestions on stuff I should check on or replace while i have everything apart? thanks for reading!
