its on the door pannel sticker.

if its been swaped, well you have 2 options. count the times to spin the drive shaft for 1 turn of a wheel. or vise versa

He tells you...

Have somebody you trust your life to slowly move the car, and count how many times the driveshaft spins with one revolution of the wheel.

That doesn't sound right, it should be around 4 - 4.5 or so. And front and rear should be the same. Instead of risking getting run over try this method. With the tranny in neutral, jack up one wheel, turn it exactly 2 revs and count the drive shaft turns. If you do the front you'll have to have it in 4wd, if you have ADD.

And if the front and rear aren't the same don't use 4wd until you get them matched.

The other option is similar, but doesn't require moving.

If you have a NON ADD rig you can lock one hub, have the truck in 2wd and spin the front drive shaft and see how many times it takes to get the CV to spin once.

You can also firgure it out by RPM in 4th(5spd) gear at say 50 mph, but you will have to know the rolling radius of your tire.

Automatic Disconnecting Differential

It's a vacuum operated solenoid that disengages the passenger side axle from the diff.

There is not really anything as "ADD hubs" - there's a splined plate that locks the hub to the CV axle constantly, so as long as the truck is moving, the front drivetrain is all spinning

this would go a lot better if you searched a wee bit.

faceing the front of the truck look under it. if you see this big thing attached to the drivers side of the diff with wires and hoses comming from it that looks like the pic in the box that says w/ADD

well then you have ADD
