Flywheel alignment
I am in the process of doing my clutch on my 97 taco 2.7L. I pulled the flywheel to have it resurfaced and I forgot to mark it for alignment per the Haynes manual. Am I hosed? Is there anyway to put it back exactly the same way, or does it not matter? Thanks for the info.

I don`t know enough about the 2.7 is the engine balanced with the flywheel and crank pulleys on??
I had one engine years ago found they used the wrong pulley took forever to figure out why it shook so bad.
The 3.4 and 22 R series engines just bolt them on and torque evenly .

It has a dowel for the pressure plate but none for the flywheel. I just put lock tight on the bolts and maybe over torqued them. My air ratchet over did it a little. I was supposed to torque to 19 ft pounds then 90 degrees more. I thought I had put them on loosely but when I put the torque wrench on them they were all at least 19 so I gave me only about 30 degrees of turn since they were pretty tight and hope the lock tight covers my shoddy work! I guess I could have undone them and done it the right way but it sure was cold and my garage is not heated. We'll see how it runs when I get the tranny hooked up tomorrow.
