First Toyota
Hey everybody I've been cruising this forum for a while now. I sold my jeep a while back and a friend of mine loves his 4runner so he finally talked me into getting one. So last night I bought a 1995 4runner SR5 4wd. This is my first Toyota so I definitely need help, before this it's been Chevy's and a Jeep. I plan to take it offload, no crawling or mud but I definitely plan on getting it dirty. I don't want to SAS it, okay well I do I just don't have the cash. Haha I'm only 17 so cash is limited. Thanks in advance, also I'm in SoCal if anyone's close and you don't mind me bugging you about these trucks let me know.

Took it to Gorman this morning, it did great on the trails. Heres a couple pictures. I think I'm going to stick with the 31's for now. I want a set of the new 4runner rims are those 16's? Also any recommendations on good 31's for a DD? Thanks

If your looking for a good on road and Offroad tire that's not to aggressive that its going to ware out fast on road but can hold up to Offroad i would recommend copper tires, discoverer A/T3 or the SST, the SST is a little more aggressive so i think the A/T3 would be your best bet. They handle great, balance out nice, and the performance, from my past experience and friends is great.

You have 15's actually. Good looking runner. You can actually go up to 32's without a lift if you wish. Get rid of the running boards and put some fender flares on. Makes it look much better.

/\/\ i think he means hes young isnt loaded with cash and wants to enjoy it as long as possible with out ruining it. And its possibly his only vehicle and might have to use it to go on a few dates and stuff and doesnt want it looking too beat up .lol. I dont blame him
BTW welcome to the board dude nice looking runner ..look into the balljoint lift mod and zuk mod and some 32's and you should be sitting pretty nice and a whole lot more capable .

That pretty much sums up my situation haha. Yeah I'm 17 a freshman and in college. It's hard enough to get classes, plus this job market isn't at it's best right now. Go figure. Okay, I can't figure out how to post pictures. I tried photo bucket maybe I'm doing something wrong, I also tried just uploading them straight to the forum. Is there something I'm missing?

Had to do a practice one to remember lol .. So u gotta upload your pix to Photobucket then once in PB u find the IMG code then right click the code copy that code then past the code in the body of the post it will look like goofy text usually until you actually post it . Hope that helps

Sweet I got it, thanks EFI85. That is one sick pick up. How do you like the 22r? Here's a couple of my 4runner.

Interior

I really like the vinyl/tweed seats.

I need this switch

The rear seats were hardly used.

Tweed Headliner

Here's the wonderful tint. Razor blade and hair dryer?

Sagging rear.

And here is my first modification. I added two extra power plugs. Very easy install and works great. I took off that trim piece with the little pocket in it and screwed it into the side (double sided tape never works). For the wiring I grounded it right behind the trim and for power I wired it into the fuse box. I used the spot for the cigarette lighter in the and it seems to be working out great.

That's good, yeah everybody seems to love it. I think once this engine goes I may drop a 22r in my 4runner. Hey thanks man I will definitely take care of it, I'm sure its going to be a really fun car.
