Cab lift points?

I'm doing a cab swap on my 87, ready for liftoff.

So from what i have heard/read picking up by the cab roof is a major no no. I've been searching google and haven't really found anything about how to pick the cab up. I will have a crane truck there doing the lifting, perhaps someone could point me to a thread i've overlooked or give some advice from prior experience.
Thanks

Do you still have the doors on ???

Just what have you heard bad about lifting the cab by the roof.

Unless you plan to jack this cab high enough so you can rig this from the bottom.

Well we picked up the cab, only bent the little lip that the chrome trim around the windows goes on. Shouldnt be bad to get back to normal.
We ran a strap through the cab with the doors open and then got the slack out of the strap and shut the doors. We had a strap with loops on both ends we ran the strap around the cab and through one loop and then hooked the other loop to the crane hook
