Exhaust stack questions
#1
Hey guys, I was just wondering, first off, if it was possible to put a snorkel exhaust on a 87 Yota with the 22R motor. And if so, do you guys know of any where I might be able to buy one or will I have to custom make it. Thanks for your time. -Pat-

there was talk on another thread about exhaust snorkels, i'm thinking about doing that to mine when i do my intake snorkel.
i'm gonna run it up the upright on a roll bar and curve aft...
mine will be custom made since i have friends who own a muffler shop, thats the only way i know of...

Hey, i got another question...as you know, i have a 87 toyota p/u 4x4 with the 22r motor, all stock. All i have are the 31x10.5x15 mickey thompson mudders. I'm about to buy new skyjacker leaf springs and kyb shocks at stock ride height but i wanna add a little more power and torque so i can run some trails and maybe rock climb a bit. Can i only do a 4.88 diff gear upgrade and 4.70 t/case gear and be ok like that?? Or what else will i need to include with such an upgrade? Because i was also thinking about adding more performance power, like a full engine rebuild kit, headers, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, exhaust system, weber carburetor, performance ignition coil...stuff like that. What are your thoughts about that?

^^^^^^^ Yeah, Lockers, open "diffs" suck, even worse when your stuck, the biggest and baddest tires wont help if they aint turning, and grabbing..."Traction, Traction, Traction" is where its at.You have to have traction in order to go...
