By the shear fact you want to swap to a 3.crap says you have done little research on the subject.

Please report to the 3.4 section.

I cant say 100%, but I hear the motor mounts between a 22r and 3.0 arent the same plus all of the wiring you would need. I personally like the 3.0 ,but the 3.4 beats it th 3.0in mileage, power and just in general all around in everything.

If you are wanting a V6, I would do alot more research. Seeing you are still in school, I would stay with the 22r. Learn the basics on the 22r and work your way up to bigger motor. There is quite a bit of other skills involved such as welding and wiring diagrams when doing motor swaps unless you are going to have it done, then you better have a big checkbook.

Running a wire harnesses involves removing the dash and getting everything right is difficult. I have done it, but never converting a truck from non computer to computer. What you are asking is pretty good size job.
