the haynes manual said it would either be the fuel injectors or the fuel pump but i replaced the fuel pump and it is still doing it... is there anything else i should check before the injectors?

 

Have you replaced the fuel filter ?, if not, i would try that and see if it helps.

I also had the same problem a short while ago.

Changed plugs and rotor, still had it. Changed wires and it fixed it! Upon closer inspection out of the vehicle, one of the wires had got hot and melted through the rubber.
