Engine light

I have a 2011 ford escape. Last saturday I changed my oil filter and oil. I started my car and the engine light comes on and it says change engine oil soon. I check my oil filler cap make sure it is tight. Check engine light stays on all the time every time I turn on the vehicle. Any advice

You know this is a Toyota forum right?
Have you reset the oil change light? Should be in your owners manual
