Dumb question on ring and pinion kits

Okay so first off, I bought my '84 toyota pickup 2 months ago, my first 4x4.
When I bought it (2 months ago) , the guy said "yeah it comes with extra gears, but you probably don't need em".
For the time I've owned my car it has been insanely slow, I just thought it was slow cause its a 4cyl.
But now that I'm learning about gearing and such I'm realizing that it needs a new gearing to match the 33" tires.
So I found out the gears are 4.88 and it currently has 4.10's.
This would be perfect but I decided I'm going to buy 5.29's and go to 35" tires later down the road.

Anyway on topic
Here are my questions

-A ring and pinion kit for a 4x4 has how many total parts?

Because he gave me a total of 4 parts
And I think a normal ring and pinion kit only has 2 parts.

Also,

-If a ring a pinion kit only has 2 parts to it, do you need to buy 2 ring and pinion kits for the front and rear?

-If I was going to sell the 4.88 gears, would I sell them as a total of 2 pieces or 4 pieces?

My bad.
If it does, could a moderator move it for me please?
