dual cases??
ok i have a 1983 toyota 4x4 5speed. will the transfer case from a side shift 4speed mate to the 5speed one with a kit?
i looked on ebay and saw kits for 21spline and 23 spline. i have no idea what i have and i don't want to start taking stuff apart yet. im very mechanical. i can do everything myself with great result.
i just want to know if i can make it happen with the stuff i have plus a kit.. or do i have to find the same cases??

here's a link that should cover your questions. http://www.trail-gear.com/assembled-t-cases scroll to the bottom of the page

If you are building dual cases and adding 4.7 gears, you can get 23 spline 4.7 gears and then a 23 spline dual case adapter. More splines more contact surface area more strength. 4.7 gears make a big difference.
Otherwise, you will just get a 21 spline.
I'd recommend a twin stick kit as well as it gives you a lot more options.
