Do you remove the crossmember, bracket, or just transmission mount?

Do you remove the crossmember, bracket, or just transmission mount?

When dropping the W49 transmission, do you remove the crossmember, the bracket, or just the transmission mount?

It seems there are three ways of disconnecting the back end. Which is best for dropping the transmission?

Also, do you locktite the bolts when you re-install? (What color?)

I'd remove the crossmember too, gonna be a PITA sliding the transmission out over that crossmember.
And than remove the crossmember and mounts from the trans

Yup what he said. Plus . . . Locktite Blue (red is kinda permanent).
