Crossmember and transfer case mount not lining up

I just replaced the W56 in my 85 runner, and now the hole in the middle of the crossmember will not line up with the hole on the bottom on the transfer case mount. The only thing I can think of it is to replace the mount, and/or get a new crossmember. Any thoughts?

was it a direct swap? Like you had a 56 before and swapped with another? Is your xmember going the right direction? (dumb question i know)...Are you using the tcase mount that mounts to the xmember from the old set up or from the one you got your new trans from? Might check to see that they are the same. Sometimes they are different.

If it is the same transmission model

Backwards or your trying to mount the transfer case after bolting the cross member to the frame.

Things move around get things lined up get all the bolts in before you tighten anything.

We managed to get it to line up. Went forward and backwards a few times once everything was put back together and the transfer case dropped into the hole.
