Deckplate Mod ?

Can a deckplate mod be done on a 1995 runner 3.0 auto? If so, pics would be great. Thanks

it can be done on any airbox as long as you have room for the deckplate... may not have room for one as big as 4", but even a small one, or two small ones really help...

one big is better than two smalls, it flows more air, but yeah as long as you can fit a deckplate on there, it can be done.

welcome to yotatech.....well that would work for a 3.4L since the air box is way different from the 3.0L

It makes more noise but I haven't really noticed a MPG gain but it has proven 10 crankhorse so ut's still worth it to me since it was a cheapo mod.

Deckplate Mod

would appreicate anyone advising where the round insert can be found, I have searched high and low to no avail, the only thing I can come up with is a flange for fitting a toilet in place.
Tks in advance

- 10 crank HP proven by whom ?
- 10 crang HP where, what RPM ?
If it's like at 4500 ~ 5000 rpm then that's about as useful as tits on quail

Try typing in "5" deckplate" into google ... tons of places to buy it from.

I just did Mine today. Went with a 6", probably a little too ambitious but after i put in a new Air Filter and reset the EFI it sounded like a new car.
