To dangerous to drive after rough country install
#21
Rear end is cause
The rear coils are too tall and the supplied upper links throw off geometry too much. I put the stock links back in and used TJM 2” coils(ARB and OME coils would work as well). It sits a little low in the rear, but it rides and handles good. Keep your torsion bars turned down to keep the cv angle slightly over level and the rear end sag is not as apparent
Sorry to resurrect such an old post, but I'd like to know if any of the posters ever found a good fix for their steering wandering problem?
I recently bought a 1993 4Runner that has a 5" Rough Country drop bracket lift, and it wanders like crazy above 30 MPH. I've had the alignment checked twice, and it's been to my mechanic multiple times, and so far everything checks out. We're at a loss as to what the issue is, but I really would like to get it fixed. I can't drive the thing on the highway until I do!
Thanks!
