I think in terms of longevity of tread, few tires have proven themselves as long as BFG AT KOs. As stated if they are properly rotated, they will last a LONG time.

Other tires that I have owned and had great success with are Nitto TGs and Hankook MTs. All the tires performed well (most pleased with the Nittos) but of the 3 I got the least amount of treadlife out of the Hankooks (still loved the tire though).

265/70R16T = 150$

vs

265/70R16D = 200$

thanks

I have used the BFG at's for years and tons of miles, no complaints. They work decent in snow sand and mud. Highway manners are good as well. I usually get at least 50k out of them.

The Hankooks and BFG at's are good tires, but one of my personal favorites is the General Grabber at2. The mileage isn't quite as good because the compound is soft, but that just means they are better in snow! Very good in the rain and mud also.

At $150 your looking at P-metric tire. The other is LT tire. Either way figure out what you tend to load your truck with. I run P-m on mine and typically get 50-60k out of a set of tires. Thats with towing 18' boat in summer and running to mts in winter for skiing.

Hey every one,

Just got my hankook rf10 tires installed. I dont like the white lettering, but it'll wear off i guess. So far, the feel of the ride is much better. I mean it is noticeable coming from being an BFG guy. I haven't been able to test it out yet, due to good weather.

One of my buddy who drives a jeep, now wants to buy a set of the same tires.

Here's few photos

you can always have them mounted to have the letters facing in.

If you want to try them in the snow, head on over to NH...or just wait a few hours for this snow to get to you.

it's junk. Had it for the longest time and now it's cracked, rotted, and wont pass inspection. it still had alot of tread left.

we have a snow storm here. The storm started early morning and it's still snowing!!! I had a lil bit of fun today it's 7pm and it's still a big blizzard out there! I took a pic this morning.

I've come to an conclusion about these new tires that i have now. So far, i'm very impressed with how it performs. The Hankook rf10 did very well on my slick driveway. My driveway is literally covered with 2 inches of solid ice! I did not slip or had to use my 4 wheel drive, which i did have to use with my old set of bfg's. Also, i wanted to mention that my truck drove fabulous on roads that were not even plowed.

Earlier this afternoon, I had to pull out a F250 and a jeep out of the ditch lol.

That white lettering will still be there when you remove the tires because they are worn out. You'd have to sand it off, or have the tires switched around.
