Compression test numbers? 22re

So I did a compression test just now on my 22re. I did everything correctly. The motor has 19300 miles on it and the whole head was just rebuilt. I also sea foamed the motor a day go. So anyways my numbers all were 173psi-183psi. This sounds too high. I know it could be carbon build up but i sea foamed it and it still shouldnt be that high should it?
Thanks

Compression readings can vary quite a bit from guage to guage. What is important is that all the cyls are within 10% of each other. Those readings don't really seem that high.

175 is normal on a 22re.

Those numbers seem about normal to me..

what was the purpose of the compression test anyway..?

sounds like a strong motor to me.....I have got readings on my motors at 180 across the block. I agree with the 10%, and I dont think that it is 180psi too high but if worried how could anther can of sea foam hurt?

Ok thats good to hear and I compression tested because, well i just could lol. No realy I was just curious as to what it was at almost 200 thousand on everything but the head. I also wanted to know if it would be worth it to put a little money into getting some more low end gunt out of it or not.
