compression

So my truck has been acting a little funky lately basically its a 1985 toyota pickup sr5 with the 22re

i have been chasing down a rough idle problem for a while that I think I fixed last night with replacing vacuum hoses but today leaving work I started my truck and noticed a little white smoke coming from the pipe only on start up though. Also I loose about 10 oz of fluid from my radiator every 5 months in the arizona desert I dont think this is normal? so on my way home I grabbed a compression tester because I was thinking messed up head gasket now my question is for the most part my motor runs fine pretty good power i would say. but when i put that compression tester on my engine on the first two cylinders I got a reading of 90-100 psi. is that even possible for my truck to run with that low of compression? is it possible checkers rental gauge is messed up? and for the compression test i followed the direction for the tester. take out all the plugs, un plug coil, hold throttle wot, and crank 3 or 4 times and take highest reading which was like 90-100 psi all cylinders.

is this even possible?

thank you.

wow.. yes that seems unlikely.
Make sure the motor is warmed up before you do the test. Take ALL the plugs out, crank 4 to 5 times coil grounded
Doesn't read like your HG is blown. I would find another tester gauge.
How many miles on the motor?

yes all the plugs were out. what do you mean by coil grounded? I just unplugged it, i am going to try another gauge tomorrow just to double check. and yes the motor was warm. there are supposedly 20k on the new motor

i always let my engine turn over 5-7 full turns for a good compression check.

So i re did it this morning making sure my engine was fully warm. and i got a solid reading of 120psi in all four. I took a closer look at my plugs in the day light and 3 of the 4 look like they have a little white on them. am I looking for towards a head gasket now? or is there more test/checks I can run?

so after work today I did the test with another tester and from from to back it went 110,90,110,110 all plugs except the one in the 90 cylinder were good that one in the 90 looked a little rich. this motor was rebuild back in 2007 and supposedly only had 30k on it. what am I looking at for issues?
