Code 71 bypass?

I got a code 71 and I wanna do a egr delete. I know I have to put in a blocking plate, but I also need to get rid of the check engine light. How do I bypass the sensor?

You have to buy a 10k ohm resistor and insert it into the connector for the EGR sensor.
