Hello i have a 1995 Toyota 4runner, 2.4l l4. I put on an aftermarket magna flow exhaust. About 2 months after i put it on ive had the most annoying clicking noise when i hit the gas. I’ve ruled out it being the clutch because even when in neutral if i give it some gas the same clicking noise happens. When idling there is no noise, i thought maybe the heat riser valve but it even with prolonged driving it doesn’t seem to improve. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the hell this could be haha. Driving around with the music blasting to drown it out isn’t going to cut it any more.

Also on a completely different note. I was looking into adding the front ball joint spacers 1.5" from 4crawlers onto my truck and the rear spring spacers 2". I was wondering if anyone had any insight into problems, additional parts requried other then what comes with the package. As well as any other insight as to what i should do when installing them.

Are you only hearing the noise when the truck is moving ?, and there is no noise when stopped and just idling ?, if thats the case then check your u joints, sometimes when there going bad they can make a clicking or ticking sound, ive had this happen to me before.

it does happen while im moving, but when im stopped it dies down, when ever i hit the gas/throttle it makes the noise even if just reving my engine in neutral. the noise is coming from somewhere near the exhaust manifold I THINK im not 100% sure.

It could be a small exhaust leak. Stick ya head in the engine bay n listen.
