You can find used wheels on CL, or a pick and pull for alot cheaper than 500 dollars..
Check the scrap bin at your local steelyard for all the metal needed for an SAS.
a foot of the DOM tube needed, some square tube.. and some 1/4inch plate shouldnt run you more than 50 bucks..
If he has the axle, thats free. If it's in working order thats a bonus.
Rears up front for leafs...
63" chevies out rear..
Alot of the SAS stuff can be done for cheap, especially if you have the materials and a welder.
You don't nEED to drop 4k to do an SAS.

well sorry to dissapoint you matt16 i already have a set of 35x12.50x15 bfg muds. two sets of 15x10 in wheel a set of centerlines that i got for dueing a water pump. also a set of turbo wheels that i traded a set of 15x8in saw blade wheelsfor. if you dont know what a set of turbo wheels are just look at the general lee. so theres no money spenp just a little time. sas who needs a kit i can build one that way better for about 80% of the cost. as for the rear sprin conversion i use the rear axle out of my wreced 89 pickup than all i have to do is get some longer shackles. i do appologize for sounding like such a newb. i will try and gather a parts list of what i have and post it. as for lockers all you need is a couple of hours some new gear oil and a lincoln welder. and poof a locker on the cheep. have one in my wrecked truck for the last five years has not broke yet.
