Camshaft noshaft

Hello guys. Been a lurker here for a bit, looking up 1uz and 5vz swap info for my 22re.

My 22res got 270k on it and was wondering if you guys could tell me if this camshaft could be the cause of carbon fouled plugs, running rich, and shutting off on the highway after 30 miles at 60mph. And then starting back up after it cools down.

pictures attached. I’ve never seen what a bad camshaft looks like(worn to bits) so generally I see my pictures and think it’s horrible. What do y’all think? I’m putting a new camshaft from yota tech in soon.
Cylinder one-not bad not bad. Hmmm lol

Cylinder 2 🧐🧐 now we’re getting somewhere with the carnage.

Cylinder numero 3 😳 this intake said NOPE

Cylinder 4 may be too blurry but it’s not that bad I think.

have you ever set the valve lash on that engine?

if the camshaft lobes were wearing down you'd be seeing radical changes in the valve lash.

I think Toyota techs make have adjusted them about a year ago when they tore down the head to inspect it after I bought the thing.

(I was otr trucking so I didn’t have time to look at it myself. And they told me just to replace the engine since it’s running rough lol. I’m like thanks incompetent mofos. Compression and leak down I did myself and they’re good)
