Does the number '1' on the side of the cylinder mean its a 1" bore?

I believe so. as a comparison, here's the marking on the 1 1/16" bore MC that I had
and here was the original MC from my '88 4runner

So, isn't the 1" bore MC the upgrade? I didn't know there was a 1 1/16".
