bigger tires and lift question from Newb

Just got me a truck!!! I want to go bigger on the tires...And I want a lift.

body lift or suspension lift?...I am going for look rather then real off-roading.
Suggestions? Costs involved?

Tires?
Brand?
Biggest size for my 3.0 Automajic?
Biggest size with NO run and keep my rims (I'm broke)

Any suggestions?

Suggestions are use the search function and get rid of those nasty running boards and topper.

Other wise just get some 31" tires

that thing is too nice to lift and scre up. Not to mention the SUPER rare factory running boards.

Those SR5 trucks are rteally hard to find too.

Fill out the fender wells with some 31" tires, and call it good. The 31" ties look really good on those trucks.

I will do the search...and look into it.

I think you all are right with the 31's.
I shall see how it goes...

More pics in the "buying selling advice" thread.

I feel like I stole the truck, Very happy with my purchase.

SUPER rare running boards hu? I thought they were a nice touch...someone else things they are "nasty"
The Topper is lame. It will be sold ASAP, to help pay for my tires...

If you like the running boards keep em, don't let my opinion make you take them off =). As far as tires, if you are on a budget Kumho Road Venture M/Ts are pretty cheap from tirerack.com, which is where I got mine. If you got a little bit more money you have TONS of choices!

Hey, come over and check out the mid-Atlantic TTORA message board sometime: http://www.midatlanticttora.com/index.php?name=Forums. A bunch of local VA Toyota guys over there.

As everyone has said, a 31x10.50 BFG will work well for you. You can also fit some 32x10.50 Super Swamper radials on there without any trouble. Here they are on my stock '94 truck:
