Best ways to get at frame rust?

I have some bubbled up spots on my frame but nothing major-yet. I have some extended time off coming to me starting in January. I thought that might be a good time to take the bed off and get at the rust on that portion of the frame, plus do any maintenance that would be easier with the bed off, and install a receiver hitch since my bumper is shot and I'm not crazy about towing from a bumper anyway. Any other tricks to getting to tight spots on the frame? If someone has a link to a good rust removal/rust proofing thread that would be great!

I just went through this on one of my rigs and it comes down to how good a job you want to do.

I did a frame off resto and blasted mine. Not sure I'd do it again, too much work to strip the frame and reassemble the rig for blasting. If I was to do it again I think I might go one of two routes:

1) wire brush it and give Por15 a try. I haven't used Por15 myself but would try it based on what others have posted.

2) wire brush, treat with phosphoric acid, and epoxy coat. I use a brush because it creeps into all the nooks and crannies where a spray can't get
