Awful noise from 3VZE

Hey everyone, first time poster here, but it looks like a pretty awesome forum.

Anyway, my brother recently bought a 1991 4wd/5 speed/3vze. It has 260k miles on it. The guy we bought it from had the water pump go out on him and over heated it, consequently blowing one of the head gaskets.

We bought it knowing this (unfortunately) and I volunteered to get it running right. We were able to drive it home, just had to keep an eye on the coolant level. Shortly afterwards I tore into it. I had both heads resurfaced, did both head gaskets, timing belt, both tensioners, water pump again, head bolts, among a lot of other irrelevant things.. I basically spent a little over a month picking away on this S.O.B.

I finally got it a couple weeks ago, and I must say it ran great. I finally turned it over to my brother to drive and on that day he called to tell me it had developed a horrible rattle. It sounds to high pitched to be something in the bottom end I'm hoping. The oil pressure light is not on, I have removed all the accessory belts, removed the d/s valve cover to check the cam and it all looks out.

I guess I'm hoping there is some typical 3zve noise I am overlooking?? It is a fairly sharp sounding clatter that seems to correspond with RPM. I could probably make a sound clip of it if that would help. Anyway, thanks for any and all help!

Try this link.. I may have to try hosting it somewhere else..

Pretty embarassing really, it's not quite as loud as it sounds, but its close. It's starting to sound more and more like a rod bearing.

It's RPM related, not speed related? Only does it in neutral or in gear?

damn, figured as much.

RPM related as far as I can tell. Sounds so bad I don't want to even run it for more than a few seconds. I'm thinking is bottom end related.. Sucks because I can't seem to find a long block for less than 1500.
