Advice on this crankshaft pulley bolt

I'm halfway into my 02 Tundra water pump/timing belt job. I'm stuck on the crankshaft pulley. It's a 22mm bolt that from what I've read takes 240lbs of torque (would've been a good idea to read that before I started this I guess). Any tricks or suggestions for getting this thing off?

Bolt

I the bumped the starter to remove mine on my tundra and 4runner. Breaker bar against the frame rail and then bump the starter. When I toruqed it i used a chain style pair of vise grips to hold the crank, again with peice of pipe agaist the frame rail to hold it while you tourqe the bolt with a toruqe wrench.

I'll probably try the latter option, I'm shadetree level mechanic here and I can see something going horribly wrong if I tried bumping the starter hahaha

Just set the breaker bar on the top of the drivers side frame rail or the bottom passenger and give it a bump.

Make sure the engine isn't getting spark first. Don't want it to start while trying to loosen a bolt lol.

On my t100 There are two small holes in the pulley that a tool fits in to. Its a long bar with a hole in the center so you can get the wrench in there but the tabs hold the pulley still so you can break the bolt. we ended up making one. cranking the engine for a second will work also. But I havnt tried that.

Ill try to find a picture

1/2 Air gun. Way less dangerous and more effective.

This is what I did and it worked well. I also pulled the wire from the coil to prevent it from turning over. Used a 19mm impact socket. If you have air tools, try that first. I didn't so I had to do it this way.
