Cool 98 T-100 Cyl head removal questions

Number 2 spark plug popped out going down the freeway and threads are gone. Someone previously must have replaced the threads with a helicoil is all I can figure. Question, I have to remove the camshafts to get to cyl head bolts and I can't get the camshaft gear bolt loose. It's not reverse threads is it? If I loosen the belt but have it marked up top to make sure of exact replacement, do I have to worry about the crankshaft gear if motor is not turned over? I have pulled the top half of the cover and not really wanting to pull bottom half. Any idea what size Torx socket is needed for the head bolts? Last question, what is the classification for the 3.4L engine.

Thanks
