I just put a new motor in my 94 yota pickup. new head, reman intake manifold, new plugs and wires, cold air intake kit, rebuilt throttle body, new o2 sensor, all new vac lines. it idles at 800 rpm. I have very slow acceleration and no power uphill. it is gettin about 14 mpg. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

EGR. Fuel Filter. Vacuum lines hooked up correctly. Compression. Brakes dragging. Exhaust restricted. Plus a bunch of EFI stuff I have no idea about.

Tell us what you've ruled out & it will help narrow it down.

no codes, brand new wix fuel filter, brand new flowmaster exhaust, new cat. conv, vac lines done according to the chilton repair manual, brand new hawk performance brake pads, summit drilled rotors. I dont know how to do a compression check, i will look it up in the chilton book. i took the maf sensor off and cleaned it up and reinstalled. no change. i will run a test to see it it needs replaced. thanks for all the suggestions....

What's your history with this truck? Did you just buy it? You don't by any chance have something like 33" tires & stock gears or something?

Had the truck about three years, I put it through the test went from 185k to 350k and blew up da motor in about two years, it set up for about a year before i started rebuilding it. everything worked fine on the truck, every sensor, relay, module, everything and after i put a crate motor in ???

My guess would have to be your bearings. The truck i bought had the same problem with going up hills, and just wasn't getting as much power as i thought it should have. I had overheating problems with it also and took it into a shop. The mechanic fixed the overheating problem and said not to drive it. Because i needed new main bearings.
