93 3.0 engine trouble

bought a 93 3.0 with a blown head gasket that apparently had been sitting for 3 years. Did a complete rebuild including a new knock sensor and wire. starts up and timing jumps around a little, but as soon as you hit the gas the check engine light comes on and loses power. it's throwing a 52 engine code. any idea's on the issue? I'm afraid it's a wiring problem. this is the first Toyota motor I've worked on.

Code 52 is for the knock sensor. The pigtail wire may have gotten pinched on re assembly. You may have to go back in and check it.
