So yesterday on my drive to work I pulled into a gas station and shifted down, I heard a noise that sounded like snapping plastic. My car started shaking like it was going to stall and was stuck in 2nd, it wasnt until I turned it off that I could get it back into neutral, and when in neatral she starts up fine. It will not turn over if it is in gear. Once I do start it in neutral it feels like I am hitting a wall when i try and shift. Slave and Master cylinder both seem to be in good shape and i had the clutch replaced 6 months also all fluids have been recently changed and arent leeking so it sunds like something seized up in the tranny, found a used tranny for 200 and was hoping to put it in myself any direction or thoughts one what this could be would be greatly appreciated! Also while parked i left it in gear and it doesnt roll. I am stumped.

 

Pull the shifter out and see what the end and shifter seat bushings look like:
